Give Kids Good Schools Week is the centerpiece of the Give Kids Good Schools campaign to give Americans the tools they need to learn the facts about quality public schools, vote to support and promote quality public education in their community and across the country, and act by letting public officials and others know that quality public education is a top priority all year long. This year, the Week took place from October 11 - 17, and it was a great success!
Give Kids Good Schools Week offers an important opportunity to raise the importance of education issues with candidates and voters alike. Individuals can sign the Give Kids Good Schools pledge, write to their local newspaper, or contact their elected officials. Organizations can spread the word through e-alerts and newsletters, host candidates' forums and debates, hold education summits, and community conversations (conversation starter) about education.
